Humpday: Favorite Scenes - Danielle Petty and Jezebelle Bond

Now that I'm blogging again, I want to dive right in and discuss another of my all time favorite softcore scenes. Today's topic: the amazing bath scene between Danielle Petty (aka Kennedy Johnston) and Jezebelle Bond in "Teenage Cavegirl".

To start off with, Danielle Petty. There have been a lot of softcore actresses come and go, but few have left an impression on me like her. Aside from looking like Jennifer Connolly, already a high benchmark, she's a damn good actress in and out of her clothes. Part of what makes good softcore work is selling the fiction. It's one of the reasons I prefer it to professionally done hardcore. It's kind of hard to put into words, but pro hardcore is, in a way, lying about the truth. Yes the people are really having sex, but the reasons the actors give for having it, the stories and scenarios, are fiction, lies. It's also why, if I do watch hardcore, I prefer amateur, so that way it's honest and real sex, as opposed to fake-real sex. I think it's kind of a similar reason why people will mock professional wrestling but not live theater.

But with softcore, you know it's fake. And, to bring up pro wrestling again, it's how real can they make it. How well can they sell the fiction. To quote Stephen King, how well can they show the truth inside the lie? And that's one of the ways where Danielle Petty is near the top of softcore actresses. Sure, she may not have had as long a career as Monique Parent or made as many movies as Nikki Fritz. But, she could combine her gorgeous looks, warm and charming personality, and superb acting skills and act like she was really, truly having sex. Her orgasms, instead of being a contest on how loud she could moan or how wild she could spasm, felt spontaneous, honest, real. I could ramble on about how good she was for an entire post (and probably will, in the future), but here, in this scene....I swear, it's real.


Jezebelle Bond Teenage Cavegirl

Fred Olen Ray's softcore flicks are usually on the goofier side, featuring hammy acting and wild plotlines. Man, are they fun. Evan Stone is usually around to show how goddamn funny he can be and Beverly Lynne and Nicole Sheridan are on hand to hot it up. But here, in a movie about a tattooed teenage cavegirl traveling to the future and fucking all kinds of men and women, he filmed a long, quiet, sensuous, and incredibly, honestly erotic scene.

There's really no reason Danielle Petty and Jezebelle Bond's characters make love in the bath. Danielle just asks if Jezebelle needs a bath and they climb right in! It fits the goofy charm of the movie, but actually takes away a little from the scene. It belongs more in an older fashioned, more serious softcore flick. But I can't knock it too many points, considering how great it is.

The way it starts, the way they slowly wash one another, the tender kisses, the nipple play....my God, just them feeling each other up has more eroticism in it than most entire softcore flicks! And while I've talked up Danielle a ton, I do have to give Jezebelle credit too. Her time as a hardcore performer suits her well, and she really sells the softness of the scene. Man, I love the way they caress one another, the way they finger each other under the water. The way Danielle bites her lips as she climaxes, the way she acts like she's about to sneeze...a part of me still thinks its real. If I have one complaint, it's that they don't scissor each other, something most post-2000 softcore flicks and especially Fred Olen Ray films aren't afraid to do. Hell, Danielle Petty never filming one ranks up there with her ending her career early as my greatest disappointments regarding her softcore career.

Still, this scene, twice as long as most skinemax scenes and ten times as hot, can stand all these years later as a towering achievement of eroticism, can attest to the talent of these two lovely actresses, and can still give me goosebumps today.
